Case Study: The Social Determinants of Vulnerability with United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley
In March of 2017, Conroy Talent took on a massive data analytics project for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay & Merrimack Valley, in which we analyzed and mapped the determinants of social vulnerability at census tract-level for every community the United Way serves. By accounting for correlations between social isolation and several significant attributes closely associated with social isolation (Disability, Seniors Living Alone, Households with Children, Rental Housing Costs, People of Color, Women, Poverty Level, attaining less than a High School Degree) in each census tract, we were able to more accurately identify social need in each community.
